This odd file-compression tool masks both the program and the completed archives, adding an additional layer of security. Insider's default display resembles a traditional button and listing archive app. Enter the special password and the display changes to look--wait for it--just like a traditional button and listing archiver. The only difference is found in the buttons themselves. The extensive Help manual easily explains program operations. A novice user should have no trouble quickly mastering this app.

Using the app requires you to start the app and enter a special password. The program's actual function buttons appear and then operation follows familiar steps. It takes only a single click to start a new archive, open an archive, add, extract, or view files. Drag-and-drop isn't available to create or add to an archive. Using the well-recognized file-browsing dialog, users choose an image. That image actually will hide the archived files. Files are also added using the file browsing tool. Once completed, users have an image that contains the compressed files. This app is required to later open the image to remove the files.

The demo is limited to a preset password and image, but they are enough to judge this program's operation. If you're just looking for a simple file archiver...pass by Insider. However, users who require extra security to mask their archiving tool and archives will find this an easy app to install and use.

Publisher's Description

From Janusware:

Insider creates compressed archives and works with these files while the archives themselves are not evident on the users computer. They are strongly encrypted and hidden inside image files (containers). The encoding program is also hidden inside another neutral program. As a result your computer has neither secret files nor obvious programs for encrypting information or secrets. These hidden archives are processed as easily as any other file.
