Icon Tray is a utility that hides rarely used icons in the system tray. Most tray icons have the options to remove themselves from the tray icons. However, some don't. It is a waste or precious screen real estate to host these icons in the tray, therefore Icon Tray offers you the ability to hide these icons. The program also can change the order of taskbar windows. Some users have lots of windows open and therefore cannot see them all. Icon Tray can sort the order of these open windows for you in the task bar so the most often used one will always be visible. For those of us have PCs that keep waking up from stand by or sleep mode for no reason, use the feature 'Force the PC to sleep' if it is waken up by unexpected events such as USB devices or LAN. I developed this functionality because my PC keeps waking up for no reason.

Version: Icon Tray 11.0.3

"Complex and Unnecessary"

Pros: It allows you to change things like your wallpaper at intervals and has several other confusing, complex features.

Cons: The interface is terrible. It is a DOS and looks doesn't look nice. The program doesn't do much either; what it can do is difficult to use. Much better programs are available.

Summary: Don't bother with this. Try 4t Tray Minimizer Free or System Tray Cleaner, both available on CNET.
