Manage your diabetes conditions and spot dangerous trends.HealthEngage Diabetes provides an easy, yet complete tool for diabetics to enter their health information. Direct glucose meter upload is also supported. Using the software, diabetics and their doctors are able to better manage their conditions and spot dangerous trends before they become life threatening. Diabetics can collect, graph, and produce reports about their condition with one click of the mouse. The nutrition section utilizes the USDA's database of over 6700 foods. The exercise section includes the Sports Medicine Association's database of over 700 exercises and physical activities. Users can also set reminders for appointments, refills and can even enter their complete laboratory test results and medications, which can then be kept as their personal digital health record.
Everything in this review is incorrect and sounds more like sour grapes than a true review. The software is in use by tens of thousands of users worldwide and supports almost 20 meters. Each meter has its own peculiarities and limitations and may be what the poster is referring to, but the software works very well and is an Apple recommended product. Support queries are responded to within 48 hours and the refund policy must be read and agreed to by checking a check box before being able to purchase the software so is in no way hidden or not known to buyers. Why use a windows emulator when this software works so well for so many. And also there is a fully functional demo that this user should have tried before deciding to buy and that every potential buyer should download and try before deciding whether to buy. If it didn't work well why would the company give a fully working demo to try?

Pros
Cons
This is one of the ONLY products available to interface with a glucometer from a Mac. The biggest problem is that the functionality is SEVERELY lacking. All imports use a January date to begin, and only some of the entries from the meter are imported. All entries have to be manually modified (a painstaking process, and a waste of time for a product that should do this work for you!) in order to make the tracking valid.
The company's support is unresponsive after nearly 4 weeks following a request for assistance. There are other features that don't work the way they are intended as well, but the support response is such that you don't get a sense of confidence in the product at all. I've had more luck using Virtual PC and the free Windows products with a USB/Serial adaptor.
Additionally, the policy of the company is to NOT refund any online purchases. This is not disclosed when you make the purchase. You have to find it elsewhere on their website, at which point, it is probably too late. Save the $60 and use a free product with a Windows emulator. It will save you time and headaches.
