Health and Safety Manager (HSM) is a basic health and safety application based on the Health and Safety Executives '5 steps to Risk Assessment' and BS8800. The application enables users to record risk assessments, accident reports, including RIDDOR, first aid treatment, workstation assessments, equipment testing and action plans. The application tracks all outstanding tasks associated with Health and Safety. Risk assessments are assessed against harm to people, asset damage, environmental effect and reputation. HSM comes with a full reporting capability and an embedded database for easy installation. All reports can be produced in PDF format by clicking 'Print to File' and PDF as the file type on the print dialogue.

Version 2008.1 features: much improved user interface and additional functionality to track actions.

    "It might be useful to Risk Managers"

    Version: Health and Safety Manager Lite Edition 2008.1

    Pros

    A database already developed to keep track of events in the risk management setting.

    Cons

    It seems it was developed in a software that is not used by the general public.

    Summary

    It might not be quite what Risks Managers are looking for, but there is an upgrade version available for a small donation. It was developed in a software that is not readily modifiable like MS Access is. People would not have the software to customize the database to their liking.
