"Very Useful App For Jotting Down Notes"

Pros
The author of this software named it well. This is really a very handy app for jotting down notes. It sits in the system tray. Can be set to automatically save when minimized, closed, or at a preset duration (how many minutes). I don't use the synchronization feature, so I can't comment on that. One can sort the notes either alphabetically or by date. I guess if one wants to sort it by category, one can work around that by adding Alphabets when naming the notes. But whichever way one sets to sort the notes, the drop down menu will show all notes. You can choose the background color too to suit your mood of the day :) But just one background color for all notes. You can set the program to automatically backup your notes everyday. You can also encrypt your notes. It works well with XP, stable and use little resources. I have been using it everyday since I downloaded it a week ago.
I don't use this to replace my notepad. I more or less use it as sticky notes. But this is better if you don't want to see 10 sticky notes on your desktop.
I transfer the info on these notes to .txt or .knt (KeyNote) if it's info I want to keep other than "return CDs to sister"

good use, very simple but useful program...I would recommend this to people who like writing notes constantly on the computer. Example: you sign up for a new site, just use this to jot down the password :)

I've been looking for something that would take notes for me for various things. I wanted something to hold recipes but this will do that and a whole lot more! I can search for a recipe by cooking method or whatever I need, it will hold urls for later for me not to mention job contact info and job listings.... no more word files for this... word was clunky for what I wanted!

If all you want is the ability to make a bunch of notes and search them, this works. That's not really very useful though. You can't categorize or sort for example. Still, it works and it's free. If that's enough for you, go for it.

What I wanted was a simple, clean format with nice options. That is this product. The transparancy/stay on top functions are perfect for for taking notes while you are working on another screen. If you are doing reservations or orders, download this. Good product.

This is a wonderful tool. I just started using the synchronizing tool and it works too. I wrote to the author with a question and he responded quickly.
The only thing I wish it had was an alarm, that way I can get rid of another program I use just for that. Try it out! -

I would highly recommend this to people if you like to jot down notes, and feel that notepad, or wordpad is to inconvenient.
Try handynotes, it's so much easier to save, and add new notes whenever you need to. -

I use HandyNotes extensively for copy and pasting text as well as copious notes. I love the feature of each note able to store 32K. as well as the sorting of note headings. I strongly recommend to all my friends and most of them are using it.
