Quickly re-enable network-based help files with this easy-to-use freeware executable. In addition to function commands, HHReg's simple tabbed interface helpfully displays needed information on each screen. Step-by-step instructions are also merely a click away.
HHReg needs only a couple of steps to register help files. The utility makes it as easy to enable folders of help files. You can even unregister a help file with two clicks. Using a simple pull-down menu, changing security settings is quickly accomplished on the program's second tab. The final tab simply lists all HTML help files found in the Windows Registry. You can add files here also as easily as in other tabs.
HHReg weighs in at a tiny 700Kb and uses little memory. Easily operated by any level user, though best suited for intermediate users and above, this program makes for a handy addition to your USB toolbox.
Publisher's description
From EC Software :HHReg is a utility to register HTML Help (.chm) files on an individual Windows computer to make them available for viewing. Registration for HTML Help files is required since Microsoft issued a security patch for Microsoft Internet Explorer, disabling in general all HTML Help files that are viewed from a network drive. HHReg fixes this new limitation by explicitly registering the help file in the Windows registry.
