CNET Editors' note: This developer's build of Google Chrome is unstable and should only be used with caution.
Publisher's Description
From Google:
Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the Web faster, safer, and easier. Use one box for everything type in the address bar and get suggestions for both search and Web pages. Thumbnails of your top sites let you access your favorite pages instantly with lightning speed from any new tab. Desktop shortcuts allow you to launch your favorite Web apps straight from your desktop.
The developer's build tests new features before they're pushed to the beta build, and so it should only be used by those who are willing to risk browsing data loss.
What's new in this version: Version 19.0.1036.7 fixes a window opening issue with Incognito mode. Also adds spelling suggestions for misspelled words from the online spellchecker provided by Google. Translation is done via HTTPS.

"16.0.889 uses up 100% CPU"
Version: Google Chrome dev 16.0.889
Pros
Former versions are great, but this one has a bug that uses up the whole CPU.

The Chrome task manager idientifies the process as "browser", so it's not a plugin or website.

Don't upgrade to this one or you won't be able to use the browser properly. I hope the devs fix this soon.

"What a disaster!!!"
Version: Google Chrome dev 14.0.794.0
Pros
Fast *initial* interface loading (see Cons, though!). Admire Google's rapid development cycle.
Cons
AVOID 14.x version!! Just the basic loading of a previous session's tabs, it consumes & maintains ~100% of the CPU Cycles, basically hanging your machine (tho at least you can close it and browse just fine w/ another browser w/o having to reboot).
Summary
Wait for a future, fixed build (which may come soon...HOPEFULLY!)
