Whenever I have had questions about new features, and when I upgraded to Mac OSX 10.5, the developer responded very quickly and helpfully.

Some were to simple, some to complicated, some dangereous and lost data and some much too expensive. I do not tell these packages generally bad but my experience was different. This was very frustrating. File Vault also lost my data once and is not very flexible. Finally I found Ghost Sphere and I'm using it now for over a year. I experienced some small problems, but never a serious one. This package is great and with a really small learning curve very easy to use. The support answered my smallest questions within a day and very accurate. The support is excellent and this is an understatment.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. I use Ghost Sphere since version 1.0 and my experience with this software is great. The migration to an UB version was absolutely transparent. Now the move to Leopard was a little bit tricky. I must say that this is not the fault of Ghost Sphere. I did an update install to my existing Tiger system. On my Laptop this worked well but on my Desktop iMac Ghost Sphere crashed hard. I contacted Pascal from spherecorner.com. He helped me to recover my folders but asked for 2-3 days to solve the crash problem. I experienced also crashes on close with other applications and Leopard asked my password for every file I wanted to delete from my own desktop. Two days later Pascal told me to do a simple Terminal command and Ghost Sphere worked again. All my other problems seem to be solved too. In 2.2.1 I saw that he bundled this terminal command in form of a complete explication. He exactly explains what is the source of such problems and it makes clear that all this is not linked to Ghost Sphere. With my rating I want to thank him for a great product and for his patience and absolute professionalism in user support. I recommend his products without any doubt.

I contacted Pascal and he has been absolutely patient with me. It took a few days but I have finally found all my files again. The product works great and the tech support from Pascal is among the best I have found in 18 years of using computers. I highly recommend both product and Pascal!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. I switched to OS X 10.5 and Ghost Sphere stopped to work. I dropped a mail to spherecorner and I was told to download the latest version. It worked perfectly and all my data was there. Ghost Sphere is great and the support is the best I've ever seen. I love the iPhoto library switching. I have several libraries with downloaded pictures. With Ghost Sphere 2.2.0 I can now not only hide all my libraries but I can even switch dynamically between them and Ghost Sphere handles all this closing and reopening of iPhoto for me. All my private data is also well protected in an encrypted vault and I store my confidential data like passwords and account data in Safe Sphere from the same editor. One word to data lost. Do not hate any software but hate yourself for not doing a backup of important data. It is always hard to learn that you did a horrible mistake, and it's always easy to find someone else who is responsible.

But those files are gone now, and so is about two days of my life i'll never get back fumbling around with this clumsy, old school app that does the opposite of what it's supposed to with no functional trouble-shooting capability. very very sad. please don't risk using this on anything you value.

Ghost Sphere does not feature all the other overheap like backup and so on but this is also done better by many free applications. The best is the price, 15$ for Gohost Sphere pro against 39,97$ for PodLock.

This is an excellent work and I wonder why I did not see them elsewhere before. Ghost Sphere Pro is a very powerfull application and yet easy to use. I feel secure with the vaults and I feel comfortable with the automations. I also ordered the Mobile Edition as I travel a lot, and at 10$ it is a cheap way to protect my both LaCie Data Bank drives. Keep up the good work.

In the past I've tried apps with low level encryption and the like. I suffered greatly once from hard drive failure due to low level encryption, really sucked. Ghost Sphere is the perfect blend of stability and security I was looking for. I can't believe the price, $15 for the pro version. The vaults are not shown in spotlight, everthing is secure. Along with Tigers security, Stuffit's encryption, and Ghost Sphere, I feel totaly secure as long as I do my part! Great product, oh, and BTW, I had some difficulty installing the second license (my fault) and the developer replied politely pointing my error withing two hours on a Sunday evening! This is top level support. Great App, please keep up the good work
