Game Booster is an easy-to-use program that shuts down unnecessary system processes in order to improve the performance of resource-thirsty games. With an intuitive interface that makes it easy to switch between gaming mode and normal mode, Game Booster is a simple but powerful program.
Game Booster's interface is basic, with a list of 24 noncritical processes that can be shut down during gaming. Check boxes allow users to select specific processes. It is true that you have to take a leap of faith with some of these; if you're not extremely computer savvy, you may have no idea what it is that you're shutting down. We can say that our system suffered no ill effects from temporarily disabling all of the listed processes, and the program quickly started them again when we switched back to normal mode. We do wish that the program came with a Help file that went into detail about this issue, though. In addition to disabling unnecessary system processes, Game Booster offers a game defragmenter that specifically defragments the game directories, allowing a given game to start and run more quickly. Overall, we found Game Booster to be both easy to use and effective. We noticed a significant difference in game performance when using gaming mode, and we think this is a great choice for users who need to optimize their systems for gameplay.
Game Booster is free. It installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.

I don't find anything that is bad about it. Maybe a future added feature would be detail on what programs that my OS have and shouldn't be deactivated so that I may have a clue.

May not work with older games, but certainly seems to turn off some of the unneccessary processes that would otherwise be running in the background.
I would like to see some sort of before/after function to determine exactly how much it is helping. -

It does just what it says it does. Noticed a 10 FPS boost while playing SWTOR. Even more on other games.
Easy to use and it's free.
Currently using version 3.5 beta. The video capture feature is great for a free app.Cons

Works great with minecraft and it really helps since I use a lot of mods to have more fun with the game.

Have not found any, it works like a charm. Every now and then there is a lag but not as much as before.

It closes all unnecessary programs that you have configured prior to running it. It will quickly defrag. the game file. It will run the boost and launch the game at 21 click of your mouse. It even monitors the temperature of your CPU, MB, Graphics card, and fan speed. It will give the running game program, max. CPU priority over any background prog. I run a Pent. 4 w/Ht 3.Gig, with 2G. ddr, 256Mb ddr3 7800GS video card. I've been playing games on it that were at minimum system requirements.Now I run the same games with higher graphics and higher resolution.
Cons
If you like the way your Desktop is arranged than don't pick any of the options that include desktop manager. This is the only con from this program. It cannot put the desktop icons back the way they were if you arrange them like I do, so that I can see my background picture on my desktop.
Summary
Most of the time I get freeware, I'm not the least impressed.I'm very happy with this program that I paused my game to give everyone a heads up on this program. I've been using Game Booster since version 3.1 and its only gotten better with each update.Get this one before they figure out they should be charging for it.
If you do get this , you will have a offer for there free anti virus with system tools. I cant say enough about these guys. Thanks IObit, great software.

"Really helps speed up games"

Useful for me,cause I use desktop enhancements that really eats up my memory. No need to manually close programs.
Cons
Nothing so bad. The speed still depends on your hardware.
