This image editor earns kudos for its impressive feature set. Before it launches, FxFoto offers to scan your PC for images and gives you the option to view a detailed tutorial. When we first saw the cluttered interface, we were wary, but we figured out how to perform all the actions in no time.
FxFoto has just about every image-editing tool most folks will need. You can automatically or manually improve shots, remove red-eye and blemishes, apply a number of effects, add frames and borders, correct colors, and alter white balance. FxFoto supplies a standard set of drawing tools and lets you add captions to any of your shots. The handy zoom tool provides a great deal of control over magnification. Once you've tweaked pictures to your liking, you can create a slide show with transitions, though you can't add your own music or narration unless you upgrade to the pay version.
You also can design a photo collage and share it via e-mail, burn it to CD, or upload it to one of several sharing sites. Best of all, FxFoto is free, making it a fine tool for lightweight image-editing tasks.

FxFoto provides a single tool for automatically organizing, editing, enhancing, annotating, e-mailing, printing, uploading, and archiving your digital photos. An animated navigator displays photo thumbnails of all your pictures by topic, and photos can be organized and searched with user-specified keywords. FxFoto Standard Edition is freeware and includes red-eye correction, lighting and image enhancement, blemish removal, feathered rectangular or oval cropping, photo frames, text effects, and a powerful clone brush. FxFoto Standard edits and saves standard photo and image files. The Deluxe Edition upgrade also creates and saves animated slide shows, collages, and scrapbook layouts using advanced creative effects, cropping shapes and stitched multi-photo panoramas, all with the same download. The Media Edition upgrade also saves Flash, MPEG, MP4, and PDF formats.
Version 6.0.070 can now save text and frame annotations for future editing and can print photos directly from their folders.
What's new in this version: Version 6.0.072 has new shadow angle setting in the info image placement and shadow toolbar.

None yet I have not had the opportunity to use it enough to determine. However,I expect this program to be like all the other programs I have downloaded and then purchased becuse they aere top notch and worth the money to purchase the full version

Smae as abov will give pross And cons qwhen use more extensively. But am weii pleased with Glary utilities,AShampoo burning suite and others haave downloaded from CNET and then purchased because they do what they say they will do.

Never used it due to various requirements stated during install process.

Not recommended - do not install. You need to be sure to use Custom Install (which is what I did) or you will get a Toolbar that you do not want. Next it gave Terms and Conditions that included a number of statements I did not care for, so I quit the install. But, it had already installed Strongvault Online Backup. I am very unhappy with CNET for letting software like this get into their system. Doing the Uninstall of Strongvault took a long time, and tried to go out over the internet to get something called SOS Upgrade. It also started up IE - which is not my default browser - and took me to a page asking me to provide feedback as to why I did not want the software installed. I didn't bother replying. There was a process running named Strongvault which I killed. I checked MSCONFIG to see if there was anything added to Startup, just in case. It better be gone, really gone, really really gone, or I will have to contact CNET about allowing installation of Malware.
Summary
Bad stuff, stay away, installs extra stuff (Strongvault) without asking or telling you. Uninstall takes a long time and accesses information over the Internet. Good old Zonealarm caught attempt to go out to the internet and stopped it.

Full array of editor functions and I'm using the free software package. Very impressed with the fade out and border functions, as well as the ability to delete background with a minimal of picture degradation. Overall very impressed.

Some of the framing functions could be a little better and give what would look like an actual picture frame, that and save often renaming because sometimes the undo function will not be the function run and you will have to basically have to restart

Over all the this free software is on par with some purchased softwares and can only imagine that if I bought a full license it would only get better. So go ahead and download it, step into the drivers seat, and take it out for a ride. Don't think you'll regret it.

The description says it creates slide shows but in the free edition it only creates sample slideshows with their "Sample" text over the images. You need the full paid version for slide shows without their markings.
