Though this antispyware scanner has a limited database of malware (about 450 items), it did a decent job of stopping and finding intruders in our tests. The real-time protection managed to stop all adware trying to install. However, the small database told on scan results so that Free Spyware Scanner missed several malware executables and DLLs (for instance, WebHancer and MultiDropper). The program offers several tools for immunizing your PC against malware (an ActiveX shield, for instance) or repairing your browser and system settings after removing adware (for example, fixing LSP). Free Spyware Scanner's tree interface is not very handy for viewing and sorting large lists of found items. The software won t excite much attention, considering the number of quality free anti-spyware tools.

This is supposed to be free, isn't it? The product description says:
[License: Free; Limitations: No limitations]
However, the last time I did a scan and then attempted to clean the adware found, the program told me that my five-time evaluation was up and that I would have to purchase the program in order to clean the adware found on my computer.
This is not supposed to be a trial version and there was no mention of the "five-time evaluation" at any point during the installation of the program or thereafter. Did I miss something?

Though not as comprehensive as Ad-Aware, Spy-Bot or Spyware Doctor, it is good to have in the arsenal. Finds more cookies than true spyware. Though others have stated that it only works 5 times, maybe that's after each update. I have been able the use it more than 5 times.
Cons
Slower than other antispyware scanners, but I actually find comfort in a slower,thorough scan.

First scan: over 300 infections found. Other programs: total of 420 infections found within a week of scanning every 3 hours. If that doesn't describe how great this program is!

Found ad/spyware in computer that others couldn't find. Took several times to completly remove them. But now my computer is so clean, I could eat it. Only gives you a five time cleaing, but really that's all you need if you download the right tools to keep you computer safe by not letting anything else in.

and there was another called Trojan Guard or something like that, it's good for removing trojans, but gives you a short trial period.

Very easy to use. Efficient in removing spywares.
Cons
A little slow to scan. 5 times usage is a little less to make the purchase decision.
