Pros
I see no Pros since I can't even try to test "Merge", "Clip" or "Crop" - functions I need.
Cons
It's a limited version (which is NOT mentioned in description), so you have only "Add" and "Remove" buttons, nothing more. Ah, also "Tell you friend" and "Upgrade" :)

Works quickly, no time limit or watermarks
Does batches of videos.
No ads, no signup, no arrogant taking over your computers preferential settings.

Pros
Interface sleek and professional. Intuitive? This thing probably knows what my mother wants for Christmas.
Downloaded four pricey programs, thought I'd just try to find something free to use in the meantime. 'Factory' exceeded the paid versions on all scores. Incredible choice for formats, pre-sets for the pros to one-click, and (gratefully) choices for those of us who just want to get it sorted and can't do much more than match the icon to the ones on our DVD players. It even has a small preview window none of the paid versions have that you can turn on/off during the conversion. Full customising of bitrate, etc. within the presets, and you can save defaults that work for you.
And it's free. No cheesy watermark just to try it (from programs with interfaces that look like something from Windows 3.0) I don't need to buy the Pro version, but it's worth it to support this company: the Video Converter is only one in a suite of progs.Cons
