Tried it! Did not like it! It clearly was a bait and switch. I did not bite and removed it from my computer. Foxtab has a much smaller program and it works!

This converter did not work for me, so there are NO pros.
Cons
Large download, additional CODECs pack install required, never got it to work. Only 3 options to convert AAC to MP3, WAV and something else. For other conversion types, you will have to buy. Then it's NOT FREE!
Summary
Needed app to convert AAC format to MP3 format for my Droid ringtones. Did not work, do not download and waste the time with 2 installs. Try Free M4a to MP3 Converter (m4a-to-mp3-converter.exe) and you can get that from CNETs website, too.

No, I am not a shill for the software mfg. I normally don't post to CNET or others, but when I saw a previous post saying "piece of garbage, didn't work at all...", I just had to post this appraisal. I suggest if you don't see an analysis after a review that you consider it bunk. My usage of this product is on a Compaq Netbook, Win98 Service Pack 3 and all subsequent updates.
