Some things great, some bad for a graphic designers.

Pros
In many ways very fast. Lots of features.
Cons
Defaults to file name, not font name when alphabetizing. If the file name of the font is "TT5408" and the font name is "Ad Lib", it will place it in the "T's". There is a not-so-obvious button to temporarily change that, but it is slow and doesn't remember the preferred way you want it listed. Regarding font groups, it creates file folders and either places font file shortcuts into the folder, or moves font files into it! Huh? And, if you decide to remove a font from a group, it can, if you aren't extremely careful, actually erase the original font file from your computer! Even simpler font managers do it right by simply creating font groups via an internal list that, when you want to remove a font, doesn't affect the original font. A major (and dangerous) flaw. If you need to just see a certain type of font (like Open Type for cross platform accessibility, etc.), it can only re-arrange the list. Again, simpler programs can show you just the fonts you want to work with.
Summary
Font Expert has a lot of features and is very powerful, but is overly complicated for some of the basic needs of font management, especially regarding graphic designers.

It does what it says it does, but I was looking to add new fonts as well, which it does not support.

Pros
After spending roughly a week trying every viable tool I could locate in this category, I can honestly say this is the most robust and professional, hands down. <p> <p>There is some room for a more intuitive interface, and it would be nice if they enabled drag-and-drop across the board. For example, although fonts can be dragged/reorganized by filename, this cannot be done by dragging the actual font-sample itself. <p> <p>Unlike the other tools I've tested in the category, this utility handled thousands of fonts very quickly. Once can also tell a lot of thought has gone into this tool, offering subtle features that other tools have overlooked. <p> <p>Overal... If you want to preview or reorganize your fonts, I strongly suggest this tool over others listed at C-Net's Download.com.
Cons
Learning curve is slightly higher than other tools. Drag-and-drop limitation. Minor interface quirks. <p> <p>Most of these are trivial issues raised by the utility's comprehensive nature.
