    "Just do it!"

    January 23, 2005

    Version: Folding@Home 5.03

    Summary

Made more sense than running SETI, so I switched. Massive support thru users and actual Stanford staff, who come up often and explain what they are doing and also publish results. Much more than othe DC jobs I have looked at

    "Worthwhile distributed computing project"

    December 25, 2004

    Version: Folding@Home 5.03

    Summary

Makes use of idle computer time; does not intrude on normal use of computer. If you run your computer 24/7, please consider joining the F@H project!

Graphical and console (command line) versions available for Win9x, 2K/NT/XP, Mac OS/X, Linux.

I've been running the console version for Win XP/2K since Aug 04 on several computers. Can be run as a Service so it is invisible to the user. The graphical version can also be used as a screensaver.
