In an age of information overload, apps like Flipboard provide the much- needed organization and curation tools to keep it all in one place. By taking your RSS subscriptions, Twitter account, Facebook account, and other online accounts and combining them into one easy-to-use interface, Flipboard simplifies the consumption of information on an iPad and makes it faster and easier than ever before to get what you need from your device.
When you first open Flipboard, you'll be prompted to create an account. This account will store all of your subscriptions, and you can choose to either create a new account with Flipboard or connect your Facebook or Twitter account to the app. From here you can add any of the popular news sources in the Flipboard library, connect social media accounts (including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube, among others), or read top stories as selected by Flipboard's editors. When you open the app in the future, everything is curated and organized by popularity, topic, and your reading preferences. Tap on any square to open a feed and then tap on a column to read that story. From each story you can read, share, or favorite for later viewing.
The effect of all this is that it feels like one massive personalized magazine. The articles are presented in an attractive, easy to use format, the sharing functions are intuitive and fast, and if you want to leave a comment, one tap takes you to the Web site for further interacting. Pros
It has a simplistic and easy to navigate platform. You can use your Facebook and Twitter accounts to view your news feeds. It features multiple different interests for anyone! The main fact is that you're gaining a great app for FREE!
Cons
I believe that there are a lot of improvements to gain, such as possibly adding more pages. I found an issue with trying to delete an article without deleting one after another to delete the article I wanted deleted. It doesn't always follow much of you're Facebook and Twitter news feeds; I definitely recommend to keep your Twitter and Facebook apps.
Summary
It might have a few bugs on it, but I definitely recommend it! The app is FREE! Everyone enjoys free things. It's a great app to have and I really enjoy it and I do hope there are better updates for it later!
