From Ascensio sistema:
FileLab Video Editor is a free application that easily edits videos and photos. Split, cut, rotate, mix video files, add transitions, overlays and visual effects. Save video files for upload to YouTube, Android, iPhone/iPod, Sony PlayStation, Xbox, SWF, FLV, etc. The app layout is divided into two parts, the upper part displays video, transitions and visual effects. The bottom part is a timeline to help you change the video length.
What's new in this version:
Version 1.1 offers new video effects and transitions.
It is NOT a standalone program. It accesses a web page, which, in my case, said that it requires one of the following to run: "Explorer 9, Firefox 3.6, Google Chrome 9, Safari 4, Opera 10 or later." I am leery of anything that can access and process my files on its website. How do I know it isn't stealing my stuff or worse?
For the record, I have IE 8 and Firefox 16, but it wouldn't work with either, so, it could be a hoax or the program stopped working or . . . ?
Nice video editor. includes a wide selection of preset video effects, along with customizable color correction to include brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, and gamma. Also included are many transition effects. But what stands out from many other freeware vide editing programs is its excellent title editor. With all these features, the program has been designed to be very easy to use, and it is.
It runs in your browser window as a "plug-in" program. It also requires internet connectivity, as to save your file, you must login to either Facebook, Google, or Yahoo.
I personally prefer programs that can run as standalone. Knocked off 1 star because of the internet requirement. Other than that, it's a nice simple editor, definitely a step above any of the different versions of Windows Movie Maker.
