Publisher's description of Evidence Begone
From MicroSmarts:Your privacy is at risk. Your PC is recording everything you do online/offline, which can be easily recovered many years later. This includes pictures, visited Web pages, emails, chat, music downloads, and all images you viewed over the Internet. Some of these copied images could even be illegal illicit photos. These images could get you arrested and may have come from pop-ups, spam email, someone else using your PC or by you accidentally visiting the wrong Web site.

- Version reviewed: Evidence Begone 1
This privacy application promises to delete evidence of your online and offline traces, but its main function is restricted in the demo version. Evidence Begone's intelligible main interface is designed to erase URL history, auto-complete data, cookies, and temporary Internet files, though it only works with Internet Explorer. It boasts faculties that clean Windows system areas like the Clipboard, Recent Documents list, Temporary Folders, and the Recycle Bin. Evidence Begone includes a basic scheduler that cleans at system startup, shutdown, or as often as every 30 minutes. The file shredder included is a no-no for ultra-sensitive files since it only overwrites files three times. There's no support for cleaning traces left by third-party applications either.
The major downside is that the trial version won't erase anything, not even a single temporary file or cookie, to test its effectiveness. You won't have a difficult time finding a more capable privacy application that will let you more fully try before you buy.

Version: Evidence Begone 1
"It sounds like an awesome product"
Pros: And I would have given it 5 stars like all the others did, but it didn't find anything. I don't know if that is because I use Opera for my browser and Oprea kills all tracking cookies on the spot and I also use Webroots Window Washer which erases all visited websites and history. I have scanned my pc 5 times and Evidence Begone always says: "Congratulations, Evidence Begone did not find any elicit images that your pc has recorded from the internet." It sounds like an awesome program to have on your computer if you are a reckless surfer, and use IE.

Version: Evidence Begone 1
"Excellent, I found hidden porn on my PC, I could not believe it."
Pros: Everyone should scan their PC for free to find out whats hidden on it. I don't go to porn sites, but porn was hidden on my PC. This program is great for anyone and even parents who want to see what kind of sites their kids were visiting. Even bosses could check up on employees. But most important, it is good for you to know what is hidden on your PC. As their advertisement state, you don't want to explain yourself later. You should know what's hidden on your PC now.
Cons: No Cons, the can is very fast and very detailed.
