CNET Editors' review
Evernote for Android lets you keep track of your ideas using multimedia notes with text, voice clips, pictures, attached files, even location stamps. Also, it automatically backs up to your cloud-based Evernote account for easy access from any data-connected device.
Evernote's interface is incredibly sleek and easy to navigate, which is a big accomplishment, considering the myriad features the app offers. On the Home screen are four large buttons to get you started creating notes: New note (for text), Snapshot, Audio, and Attach. At the bottom of this screen, you can choose to view your notes, notebooks (folders for organizing your notes), tags, or places (geotags associated with any notes). Alternatively, you can swipe left to start browsing through your content. And no matter where you are in the app, there is always a contextual action bar at the bottom, showing options related to the screen you're on.
When taking notes, you'll find much of the same multimedia functionality that the full Evernote site offers. You can attach any pictures, audio clips, video, or files to your notes. Hit the Menu button, and you get the option to set a location stamp so you know where you were when you jotted.
When it comes to editing text, the Evernote app offers quite a few formatting tools. You get all the basics like Italic, Underline, and Bold. Plus, there are options to add bullets, numbered lists, check boxes, and even sketches, if you have Evernote's sister app Skitch installed.
Evernote for Android really shines in its flexibility to handle so many media types. Just like the full Evernote site, the app lets you embed text, audio, photo, video, or pretty much any other type of file into your notes. It also has some rich sharing functions built in, which allow you to post a note to your Facebook, Twitter, or any of your other installed applications. The reality is, if you're just looking for something to keep a grocery list, then Evernote may not be the best option for you. But, if your idea scrawling requires the infusion of multimedia files and possibly location stamps, download this beautiful app and set up an account now.

"Not the best out there, could be faster"
Version: Evernote 3.3.1
Pros
Ability to sync to the web easily so you can edit your lists/notes from your phone or computer is very handy.
Cons
The fact that when you're in the phone setting you have to open the app, eventually navigate to your note, and then hit the 'edit' button. I am a fan of the s-note app for samsung beacuse as soon as you take the stylus out a note pops up.
If it was easier to get to editing the list (Say your writing down what someone else is saying in real time) it would be perfectSummary
I hope they eventually make it easier to quickly jot down notes.

Cons
Took awhile to learn but worth it.
Summary
This is my favorite now. Great program for organizing everything.

And poof! there it is...on my phone, on my computer, and in my calendar. It is able to sync your data just like that! This app works well across all platforms. The interface is simple and very easy to navigate. It is definitely one of the apps that helps make your life a little easier.

"A Brilliant Tool That Will Do Almost Everything"
Version: Evernote 3.0.3
Pros
* Taking notes, pictures, audio, and sync it with calender
* Instant sync of your data with Evernote server
* Easy navigation and management
* Unique Evernote email
* Notes on the go
* Multi Platform functionality sharing (Android -Mac - Windows)Cons
* 60 MB storage only for free users
* No lifetime licence purchase, pro users will be billed monthly or annuallySummary
Evernote is absolutely a brilliant application, last week I used it for one of the conferences I had to attend, and it really impressed a lot of attendees. I was using a tablet (HTC Flyer) with pen feature, so while I was scribbling notes I could take pictures, which will automatically imbedded with the notes and record audio at the same time. Either scribble or typing, Evernote is one of the easiest manageable applications, so with minimal keystrokes or touch you can navigate Evernote and back up everything fast.
Categories
You can create categories of different notebooks and organize it, for example you can create John's Note Book, Research, Business etc. Evernote also let you move notes between different notebook categories or labels.
Sync Features
When I came back from one of the conferences, and for the first time I signed into Evernote on the web, using my gmail account which was part of the android setup, and I was so surprised to see every data, audio, clips, pictures - every single scribble was synced with the Evernote account. So I can access it anywhere without my tablet. Then I downloaded Evernote for windows, it's an application with which you can again create notes which will again sync with Evernote account, phones, tablet etc. This sync feature is so brilliant and fast that, say, you can work on a project at home (laptop), and continue working the same thing on the train (tablet), and continue working it at the University or the office (PC) without creating three files!
Cross and Multi Platform compatibility
That's right, you can use all platforms for a single file, you can create a file in Andoid OS, and open that file elsewhere may be in Windows OS, and vice versa.
Email address
For every users Evernote create an email address username @ evernote.com, I don't know if it's a pro or con, but if you are not interested you can ignore it.
Pro and Free version
If you are going pro version, you have to pay either monthly or annually for One Gigabyte storage, free users will get only 60 MB. There is no one time or lifetime license purchase, you have to pay either monthly or annually. But for me 60 MB is enough, so for most users I guess, but if you are adding or embedding a lot of media files, then I guess pro version is best for you.
Language Support
Evernote comes in many languages - Czech, Danish, German, English for both US and UK, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese for Brazil and Portuguese for Portugal, Russian, Serbian (Latin and Cyrillic), Swedish, Chinese (both simplified and traditional)
Additional Tools
Evernote tools have additional features like creating hyperlinks for the web, embedding PDF files, locating source, images etc., adding tags, saving searches and I am still exploring it :) Today I received info that Evernote is also adding Presentation slides and other features. Well, in short this is a great time saver and making the life easier.
Remember
Don't forget to download Evernote for Windows, Mac and Mobile devices, so you don't have to login every time you are connected. -
"sounds good but...."
Version: Evernote 3.0.3
Pros
haven't tried it yet
Cons
permissions?
Summary
When installing it wants access to: "Your personal information - Read contact data." Why and why would I want any app to do this? Correct me if I'm wrong but I assume this means the people at Evernote can see or download my contacts? I never give anyone access to contacts on my PC and my smartphone is no different. Shouldn't this at least be optional?

"Easy to use"
Version: Evernote
Pros
Syncs notes with desktop
Easy to use
Clean interfaceCons
No real cons. It does what it promises
Summary
Evernote is easy to use and set up. Just install on your smartphone and on your desktop or laptop to be able to sync notes back and forth. I use this for shopping lists and reminders that I want to keep handy. No matter which device I'm using when I create or edit a note, it's always available on the device I'm using when I need to refer to the note. Very handy and highly recommended
