Publisher's description of Email Announcer
From Blind Bat Software:From the developer: "Email Announcer will notify you by announcing incoming email, hotmail, and meeting requests with your favorite Microsoft Agent character. Email Announcer also alerts you if an incoming email has a read receipt attached. With Email Announcer you don't have to stop what you're doing to see what just popped into the inbox and since all of the announcements and characters are customizable you can configure Email Announcer to work just the way you want!"

Version: Email Announcer 4.0
"Registered it works great, but unregistered it mangles outoing emails"
Pros: I use EA exclusively for Outlook (2003) reminders, which don't consistently open on top of other windows for me causing me to miss some important reminders. EA solves this problem by putting an announcement on top that stays on top and keeps reminding me until it's acknowledged.
Cons: However, the unregistered version adds a footer to outgoing emails and mangles the formatting of some things like hypertext links, which isn't mentioned in the documentation.
