- Version reviewed: Eject 1
This freeware DOS command opens your CD-ROM drive, though it can't close the drive. Eject is a DOS command that merely opens your CD-ROM drive. This program has no other options. This kind of command is primarily used by advanced users in batch scripts. The command is useful as the end of a CD backup batch program. It lets the user see immediately that the CD burn process is complete. It could also be useful for those who must eject a disc when Windows has lost control of the drive. However, there is no guarantee this DOS command would work in such situations. This app also could use a feature to close the drive, for those who want to automate that process.
Those users unfamiliar with batch processing and DOS will get little use from this freeware. Advanced users will like its small size and simple use.

-
Version: Eject 1
Pros: Simple, batchable for different drives, free

Version: Eject 1
Pros: All that I wanted was put a icon on desktop that, when clicked, open the CD drive.
Thats exactly what this program do, simple and easy, no tray, no configuration.
Just unzip this program on any folder, create a shortcut on deskop and change the shortcut command line to: instaled folder\eject d (change the "d" for your cd drive) and its ready. Just perfect!!!
