Duplicate Remover for Microsoft Excel does exactly what its name suggests: it finds and removes duplicate entries and formatting in Excel spreadsheets. Thanks to its wizard-style approach, users of all skill levels will find it worthwhile.
The program operates through an extra tab that it adds to Excel's interface. Clicking on it activates a wizard that makes it incredibly easy to configure the program. Using a tip from the wizard, we first selected a large cell range to search. The program gives you the option of searching a single table or comparing two tables. We appreciated the time-saving step that automatically fills in the table range when the table is preselected. The program gives you the ability to search for duplicate or unique values. Once we selected the columns we wanted to include in the comparison, we were given several options for what to do with the found values, including copying and moving to another location, changing the background color, or deleting duplicate values. As soon as we clicked OK, the program immediately went to work and singled out any found entries and successfully moved them to a new worksheet as we specified.
A built-in Help file is included with the program and offers more than adequate guidance, but the program is so easy to use, even the most novice user will feel right at home without much assistance. Though we would have preferred a longer trial period than 15 days, we highly recommend Duplicate Remover for Microsoft Excel for any user looking to quickly pinpoint unique and duplicate entries.
