In the charming, artistic Drawing Hand Screen Saver, you watch a disembodied hand magically sketch a picture stroke by stroke. Installation is quick, and you can preview the screensaver as soon as it's installed. It doesn't have many settings, though you can adjust the drawing speed. The registered version lets you download new drawings and toggle the visibility of the drawing hand.
The latest version also allows you to substitute drawings from ArtStudio 2006. You won't find any support for music, but that's not a critical problem. The real pleasure here is watching an image emerge from the blank canvas. If you're a sketching fiend yourself or just wonder how good artists do it, you'll get plenty of enjoyment out of Drawing Hand Screen Saver.

The full version of this screen saver can draw cars (BMW, Viper, Corvette), fine art (Monet, Van Gogh), people (Einstein, Elvis, Marilyn), animals (lion, gorilla, tigers, koala), and holiday art (Christmas, Halloween, Fourth of July). You see each drawing from start to finish. Many people have described this screensaver as relaxing, interesting, and educational. Currently, there are more than 200 drawings available, with new drawings added each month. You even can create your own drawings for the hand to draw with the ArtStudio drawing program.
