"Avoid this product. It doesn't work. It is a scam."
Version: DiskInternals FAT Recovery 3.7
Pros
There are no pros.
Cons
Doesn't work.
Summary
This product is a compete rip-off. The trial version doesn't let you actually recover anything. You have to buy the software in order to even attempt recovering anything. It doesn't work, and the company won't refund your money. Don't make the same mistake I did. If I could rate it zero stars I would.

"DO NOT BUY!! POOR PRODUCTS - WORSE SUPPORT!!"
Version: DiskInternals FAT Recovery 3.5
Pros
Although I did not purchase this specific product, the DiskInternal product family has ABSOLUTELY NO pros about it.
Cons
EVERYTHING. The DiskInternal product I purchased did not perform. I completely lost my file. There is virtually no product help screens available even after purchasing ...and when you run into problems, this company offers NO support.
Summary
DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. After a month of email discussions (no phone support offered), their 'technical support' has only resorted to finger pointing and casting blame. They have offered NO support to attempt to recover the file and will not consider refunding any money.
Actual quotes from 'support' email:
"Did we say that we offer phone support?"
"Now your lost files are unrecoverable because they're overwritten with the parts of the files you've tried to recover. There is no reason for refund because it's you who made your files unrecoverable by ignoring our warning message. "
""You are about to restore file(s) to the same partition it was erased from, which is not recommended" It was not recommended - but you wanted to risk, now you see what it caused." -
"Shady business practices"
Version: DiskInternals FAT Recovery 3.5
Pros
Simple interface
Cons
Mis-reprsents files >4GB on NTFS
Summary
Demo version said it could recover my file if I upgraded to paid version, which I did. File would not recover so contacted support and noted software was reporting file file size as 0kb. I found out through research there is a limitation in the NTFS tables on files >4GB, this software just can't handle it (other software can) Support offered their help in 'recovering' a 0kb empty file with the same name as my deleted 30GB file. When I asked for a refund I was rebuffed and they insisted that recovering a 0kb file meant the software worked as advertised. They even threatened legal action if I left this review.
