Version: Dev-C++ 4.9.9.2

Cons: There are several compilation-related bugs
Summary: Good but i've seen better.

"Devcpp works in Windows Vista / 7"
Pros: It's fast and very portable. I carry it on my thumb drive and have used it on this home computer running W7 and have used it at school last year for my C++ class on computers running Vista.
Cons: Maybe it's just nothing. Could be my inexperience with coding in C

Version: Dev-C++ 4.9.9.2
Pros: I would like it to stop crashing so frequently. I don't think I've ever encountered such completely unreliable software.
Cons: It is so bad it's unprofessional.
Summary: DEVC is abandonware. The author has given up on it. There is no chance of the bugs ever being fixed.

Version: Dev-C++ 4.9.9.2
"Easy to Use, Works Well Enough"
Pros: Hassle-free, compiles well, is decently clear when there's an error. Been using for learning to program C++, and it handles anything I'm learning to do.
Cons: None I've encountered thus far.
Summary: It's pretty basic and simplistic. Whether it's too simplistic for some people's use remains to be seen (as I've said, I'm using this exclusively as a learning tool at the moment), but for the basics, it's useful enough. And it's free, to boot.
