Publisher's description
From Eidos :Civilization is near collapse. The world economy is in chaos. The middle class no longer exists. Deadly viruses have ravaged the earth's population. Terrorism runs rampant. It's five minutes before the apocalypse.
From this maelstrom of violence and suffering, an ancient conspiracy bent on world domination emerges from the shadows of legend. The conspirators' greatest strength? No one believes they exist. No one but you. Travel the globe as you develop your skills and build a network of allies. Employ stealth, strategy, or action where appropriate. But remember, trust no one. Even your allies may be more than they seem.
CNET Editor's Note: This demo features one full mission and the training mission taken from the retail version of game.

Version: Deus Ex demo
Pros: Great game! Absolutely brilliant!
Great graphics, Very nice training mission, Lot of suspense, great story line, realistic choices to make (eg. sneaking around or going head on), nice sound effects, high replay value
BUY THIS GAME!!!
Cons: I didn't like the look of the main character. Neither the other choices given to me. They looked more like terrorists than the opposing force itself. Anyways, that's just me.
Also, the enemy AI is sometimes really stupid, or sometimes way too smart. For eg, when a soldier came around a corner where I was standing, he didn't even see me and he kept walking on. Also, there was one soldier who could see me even though I was hiding in complete darkness.

Version: Deus Ex demo
Pros: This game takes the best out one of the two biggest game genres on Earth, and makes an extremely fun, versatile and addictive game like Deus Ex. It's not like any other game you've played, you place stats into your guy, upgrade weapons, and there are multiple ways to complete a mission, depending on your skills. This game is definetly worth your money and download.
Cons: Theres nothing wrong with this product, except maybe the graphics can be improved and maybe the AI can be a little less retarded.

Version: Deus Ex demo
"If you don't yet have this game, GET IT!"
Pros: The way you progress through the various missions is practically limited by your own ingenuity - you can go up, over, under or around; you can fight or you can sneak; you can pick locks or destroy doors; you can disable security systems, avoid them, or use them to your advantage. There's so much exploration potential in this game - I've had it for a year and a half now and I'm still finding new things. It inspires genuine feelings of tension and fear - a deeply involving game, and the background is politically, historically and geographically amazingly well-researched. Combat uses a hit-location system which was innovative at the time and hasn't really been matched since. Oh, and playing as a nano-augmented superhuman rocks!
Cons: The graphics are quite poor, although this will (hopefully) be fixed by a forthcoming third-party mod. The voice-acting goes from bad to truly abysmal, with only a couple of exceptions. The action-combat element is quite poorly implemented. If you want an action game, look elsewhere.

Version: Deus Ex demo
Pros: i have had the game of the year edition for ages now, i have completed it about 12 times and i am still not bored!! there is so much exploration and character advancement to keep you playing for hours. coupled with the fact that there are 3 endings, there are a lot of reasons to replay it.
i could go on, but no... i'm off to play deus ex!
Cons: the only down side is the dated graphics, but i don't give a damn as they don't take away from the majesty of such a great game.
