CNET Editors' review
DeskUNPDF Professional is a sleek-looking program matched by its intuitive and effective interface. This program will have users effortlessly converting their files thanks to its simplicity and direction.
This program has a beautiful design that lives up to its professional billing. With a dark border and a short string of control icons along the top, users will most likely not need the brief tutorial at the start of the program or the User Guide. To convert, users simply choose the Open icon to pick a file. Clicking on the Convert icon next does all the hard work. In between selecting a file and converting it, users are given a wealth of options that manage to enlighten instead of overwhelm. From a small box along the left side, users can choose to convert their file to a DOC, JPEG, XLS or a number of other file formats by simply clicking a radio button and navigating a simple drop-down menu. Files are quickly converted exactly as they appeared in their previous form, and require no annoying cleanup of strange letters or other unwanted material.
Our only turn off to DeskUNPDF was that it didn't ask us where to store the converted file. However, we found that tiny misstep easy to forgive thanks to the program's ease. You're only allowed to convert up to three pages during the trial, but you'll get a clear picture of how well the program works. There are many PDF conversion programs available for download and this is among the best.

"What a waste of time downloading and installing."
Version: DeskUNPDF Professional 3.0.5.1
Pros
Nothing positive of this product. its totally unusable for me.
Cons
Nothing of the output file is useable to me... i converted a pdf bank statement to excel in the hope that I can at least cut and paste the figures into cell entries... Again what a waste of time and effort.

"Really excellent & complete product - I have tried many"
Version: DeskUNPDF Professional 3.0.5.1
Pros
Very good and accurate converson from .pdf to many other formats, with excellent front end interface to allow you to choose many options (if needed). Not only does the basics, has huge range of options for the power user. The formatting in the new file type (e.g. word. ppt, excel, etc) is very good. Specially nice is that the conversion output is done at a character level, so editing and manipulation in the new format is easy. Diagrams and graphics are also well converted as pictures that can sometimes be edited too. I work in research and do a lot of document scanning, and have used various .pdf converters for about 5 years, and tried probably all the main ones available. This is without doubt my preferred product, which is why I am writing this review.
Also, the online support is very good - i have made a few technical enquiries and always have had a full response back in a few hours. This is very important, if like me you are working to deadlines.Cons
To be frank, I can't think of any flaws. Maybe some more options on handling graphic images, but this is more a restriction resulting output format application rather than the docudesk converter(e.g. word or .ppt)
Summary
This is a really really good product if you want to convert a .pdf file to another format, and then use the content in that other format, such as converting a table of numbers into excel, or a .pdf presentation into word, etc. It is easy to use, has a big range of options, and the online support is excellent. As a long-time user of .pdf file converters, this is certainly the best I have used, by a long shot. I have no hesitation in recommending it. I am sure it will work really well for you, which is why I am writing this review.
