Race, smash, and crash in a 15-car demolition derby.

Demolition Racer is one of the most intense driving experiences ever seen on the PC. It is filled with havoc, mayhem, and destruction. Race, demolish, and battle it out with 15 cars on the track. This game features the US Demolition Derby Association license and a rocking original sound track featuring Fear Factory and Empirion.

Killer racing modes:

Demolition Racing: your goals are to stay alive and to inflict as much damage as possible on your opponents.
Bowl Match: 15 cars square off in a "last man standing" festival of destruction.
Suicide Racing: play in a demolition derby bowl, first player to destroy his car wins.
Career Mode: race in more than ten different leagues, earn cash to buy new vehicles, and enter more advanced leagues.
Stock Car Racing: standard racing where winning is the goal, not destruction.
Chicken Mode: race against the clock in the opposite direction from the other racers on the same track. Damage doesn't count.

May have been half reasonable....once!

This 9 year old game runs OK on XP but is soooo outdated! The only reason it has a good star rating is that most of the reviews were done 6-7 years ago, when people didn't know better. Games like NFS Most Wanted spoil you....I deleted it after 20 mins.

But, I have played much better racing and demo derby games back then. The graphics are outdated, and vehicle drive-a-bility is kinda difficult for such a simple looking game. I'd rather a straight up demo derby than an oval track lap race, and occasional bump your fellow racer for 50 points set up that this game has. You only get to choose one race, one track, and one vehicle, while limited options are expected in a demo version, this was a little too restricted. I deleted this one.

A good download if you enjoy racing / smashing cars to pieces. However, I have a really fast, new PC, and the graphics were still a little shaky. On the whole, a great game, but would like to see more options in the demo. Maybe try a few different cars?
