Your aim is to get re-elected every 4 years by at least 50% of the population. Voters fall into a large number of categories and all of their views need taking into account if you expect to get re-elected. This is the most accurate political simulation game you will find.

Version: Democracy 1.2b
"Fantastic, Deep and rewarding strategy game"
Pros: This is the ultimate political game. If you ever thought you could do a good job of running the country, this game lets you find out how hard it could really be.
Cons: Graphics are simplistic, but thats irrelevant. The game has enough depth that you quickly ignore that.

"Superb and engrossing game that wastes DAYS of your life"
Pros: Incredible amount of depth here, tons of policies to alter and lots to do. You can really try out your politics for real here, but be prepared to compromise!
This isnt like all the other 'election' games, here you actually gt to run the country between elections, which is cool because you quickly find out that you have to compromise, (at least in the short term). The interface is very clear once you 'get it', and you always feel like having 'just one mroe go' which makes it feel a bit like the 'civilisation' series of games.
I'm suprised I had not heard of this game before, as its extremely original and fantastic fun.
Cons: graphics arent top quality, but you quickly ignore them. More dilemmas would be nice.

Version: Democracy 1.2b
Pros: Great detailed simulator. Watch for a major company knocking on their door. This is probably the first game of this kind and it sets a high standard for others to follow
Cons: Unfortunately, the game starts you from a lame duck position ( ps. if you don't know what it means, don't try to play the game ). This greatly detracts from the beauty of the game ... unfortunate.

"superb and deep, screenshots dont do it justice"
Pros: Fantastic game, with lots of depth, if you have even a vague interest in politics or what it takes to run a country, then this is fantastic fun. Its no flashy-looker, but for people who prefer gameplay to whizz-bang graphics, this is well worth the small download.

Version: Democracy 1.2b
"Excellent, highly playbale 'run-the-country' game"
Pros: An excellent game. If you played 'The political Machine', you'll LOVE this game. Its not too dissimilar to Civilisation or that style of game. Well worth trying out.
Cons: Nothing, no worries.
