From NCH Software :Debut is a video recorder that lets you capture video files directly on your PC using a webcam (video camera), or capture device (from video). Debut can also capture and record almost anything that can be played or displayed on the computer screen as well as recording audio. The program saves the video on your hard drive as avi, wmv or many other file types. You can also capture a snapshot (video still) from a recording and save it to jpg.

Pros: does exactly what it tells you, good GUI, and doesn't use as much cpu space.
Cons: still produces a large file but hey that;s normal :P

Clean, simple UICons: A little resource intensive. That may be inevitable.

"captures any video from your screen with no difficulty"
Pros: simple to use, records absolutely anything, of any size, anywhere on your screen. i found no malicious software on my system.
Cons: recorded files are very large and like all video software, it's very demanding on cpu.
Summary: this software is completely FREE!!!!

Pros: easy to use, just drag mouse in the area to capture
Cons: cpu usage grows to limit during recording. anyway I think that's is expected.
Summary: I've tried for desktop recording and It works very fine, results are good as i wanted.

"Links to dxrysysguard.exe (Trojan.FakeAlert)"
Pros: The Debut Recording app works good
Cons: The app installs many Install-On_Demand features to the start menu. They are auto download links for the dxrysysguard.exe trojan horse.Takes over system and disables antivirus.Delete all links to NCH Software after install
Summary: If you can find a different video recording app that works as good then get it.
