From NCH Software :Debut is a video recorder that lets you capture video files directly on your PC using a webcam (video camera), or capture device (from video). Debut can also capture and record almost anything that can be played or displayed on the computer screen as well as recording audio. The program saves the video on your hard drive as avi, wmv or many other file types. You can also capture a snapshot (video still) from a recording and save it to jpg.

Pros: Small program with easy set up and simple controls for recording directly from your webcam. Video can be recorded in various formats, resolutions and file sizes. While I did not try it, Desktop video recording controls are also right there.
Cons: FREE software comes with a "price", albeit a small one - extra Start Menu shortcuts are installed for programs which are for sale. However, I was able to delete these extra Start Menu shortcuts without any ramifications.

Pros: the sound is crystal clear the video has no frame skip or lag very easy to use also very powerful for it's small size
Cons: there is absolutly nothing wrong with it, its the best recording device I've tried
Summary: basicly is very fast smooth and records webcam, device, and screen without a problem
