"great cross-database sql tool"
Version: DbVisualizer 4.3.5
Pros
I've been using DbVisualizer for a few years now and I love it. The free version gives a good amount of features for the price, like visual schema diagrams. You can save connection settings to multiple databases of different types, which is a must when working with multiple database vendors.
Cons
One downside is that you can't cut and paste in the connections dialog window. In the free version you can't execute one of multiple sql statements active in the window, but that's how they get you to buy a license. :)

"Maybe"
Version: DbVisualizer 4.3.1
Summary
Just a follow up on "skdonweb" and his comment on the "100 lines" export limit. There is no such limit, the export *preview* dialog limits the number of rows to 100 but that is on the other hand clearly stated in the dialog.

"Better freeware tools available"
Version: DbVisualizer 4.3.1
Summary
I am not sure what is the purpose of this freeware version. Ordinary users of database may find it difficult to set up connection. Export utility also has a very limited role (exports only 100 lines). FREEWARE version of TOAD seems far ahead of this basic tool. There are other tools as well which perform better job than this so-called "free" tool.
