It is an AV converter, ripper, editor, and capturer. Make conversion among CD, MP3, WAV, OGG, WMA, VCD (DAT), MPG, MPEG, MPEG-4, MP4, DVD (VOB), AVI, DIVX, XVID, RM, RMVB. It is also good at splitting and merging AV files. It can help you cut or split your favorite part or backup whole MPEG/DAT/VOB/MP3/OGG/AVI/RM/RMVB/DIVX/VCD/SVCD/DVD, to hard disc, and merge them again if you will.

It is your DV camcorder capturer either extract and convert straight stream from DV camcorder to MPEG1/2 video. It even can let you create your own VCD/SVCD/DVD movies as well. Fixed bugs in startup module and some other minor bugs. Showing motion vectors just first draft, will be enhanced, and new presets handling. Version 5 fixed an error on silent scalefactor bands; this bug resulted in huffman data overrun problems while decoding, resulting in audible glitches.
