As its moniker suggests, this application helps you catalog and organize DVD information, but we encountered some functionality issues. DVD Organizer's commonplace interface is easy enough to operate, and it offers a number of handy features for organizing your collection.
With this program, adding new entries and editing existing ones is a cinch, and it accommodates information for all of your movie titles, including genre, publication date, and even the cover image. We like the report and count wizards, which make it easy to create reports with filters and DVD tallies. The program also lets you monitor DVD loan-outs; however, we encountered some problems with this feature, as some of the returned titles displayed Still Out and the program didn't list all of the loaned titles. More on the downside, the report wizard initially resulted in a program freeze, but it began to work after a few more tries.
Unlike similar apps, DVD Organizer doesn't provide Internet searching, which has become standard in most media-collection managers on the market. But despite these setbacks, this program is a decent choice for movie collectors.
