It is for people who want to simply and reliably capture DV AVI to their PCs. The software auto-detects the DV standard of connected devices. You can choose to capture from multiple connected devices. You can preview audio and video before capture. Preview is half-res which is higher quality than most capture devices. Not only you have deck control, but also frame stepping control in both forward and reverse directions. You can choose the path your media will be captured to. The software also reports drop frames to let you know how your system is performing.

Version: DV Capture 1.0
"Pretty good quick and dirty download"
Pros: Works quickly without lots of setup
Flexible in capturing multiple scenes and numbering them for you (just set directory and prefix as you want them).
Cons: The tools to move through the video are either too slow or too fast, needs an in between REVERSE and FAST FORWARD to make this better. (the slow is frame by frame, the fast is pretty quick).
Biggest con is once the product expires I couldn't buy it because the sales site, jetstreamer.com, kept generating errors. Very frustrating!
