Version: CyberLink PowerDVD 9.1719
Pros: When it works, it works well. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get it to work at all.
Cons: No way to disable MoovieLive from appearing on screen, can't play DVD's/BD's in my WinXP MCE, tech support tried to help for weeks but ultimately couldn't do anything to play DVD's or BD and then told me to wait for the next update over a month ago!
Summary: I have always used Cyberlink but since PowerDVD 8 I've had problems getting the software to work properly. When I had PowerDVD 8, tech support actually helped me with my problem which prompted me to buy it. Now that I purchased the upgrade to PDVD... read more >>

"NO SOUND FOR DVDS ON HP PAVILLION; TECH SUPP IS GARBAGE"
Pros: Works well for blue-rays, integration for blue-ray support for windows media center
Cons: no sound for DVD's and technical support is complete garbage. according to them, their product only supports two soundcards
Summary: Installed PowerDVD9 when I was having an issue with playing blue-rays on PowerDVD7 after a few updates on my vista 64 system. Now, I get sound from blue-ray movies from my spdif out to my home theater receiver but not with DVD?s. I contacted technic... read more >>

Version: CyberLink PowerDVD 9.1719
Pros: I find it simple to use
Cons: It simply does not work with my Vista Home. I keep getting errors saying something is missing... I even had to download another codec that cost me additional money.

Version: CyberLink PowerDVD 9.1719
Pros: No pros. This application closed as soon as it is asked to load a DVD.
Cons: The screen is filled with ads for movie downloads, netflix, etc. When a DVD begins to load, the application closes. I have downloaded the trial from three different sites with the same results.
Summary: Could not evaluate the trial version because the application closed each time a DVD is loaded. BTW, this program is NOT free, after a 30 day trial, it will cost you $70 to purchase. There are better, less expensive DVD viewers out there.
