"Not impressed"
Version: CrystalCPUID 4.15.5.452
Pros
The driver appeared to to be informational, which by any standard is useful.
Cons
The driver was only saved to a desired location before fully determining if there would be any conflict. I finally opened the file, except it did not install with the wizard as expected but it still opened the program. The information provided for its page is less than informative, and I found the help section on the tool bar matching the lack of information found on its product page. I think it is great the producers are thankful to their co-producers of the software, however I think it could be mentioned elsewhere rather than in more than one help topic section. In reading the detailed information I found the software's recommended requirements, which does not include anything after Windows NT. I did see most of the documentation included System32 and x64. Niether of them applied for my system. The actual recommendations would be more useful on its product page rather than finding out after installing/ saving the info.
Summary
To sum it up, I am not impressed! I am not an IT professional and although the product is informational about what is on the system, it provides no assistance for those lacking technical knowledge on the functions it is monitoring. Sure, separate documentation sounds great, except it is not useful when a system is in disarray. Bottom line... if software is going to made available to the public, make it usable with a defined help section without the overstated thanks to the inventor/ producers of the product. It leaves the impression of ha, ha, ha, and kiss the grits on help while thanking the peers more than the public for its creation. If I'm not mistaken this is a product built by egoists, and other than basic system information I did not find this product useful. Maybe that is why there is only 3 total votes to this point for the CrystalCPUID on this page. :( (Cnet: It would be great to have current blogs about the product posted within each product page instead of separately:) )
