This no-frills program lets you adjust the transparency of open windows, but don't expect anything awe-inspiring. Crystal XP's comprehensive interface is reminiscent of Windows and offers its configurations in English and Dutch. The program lets you set the transparency of active and inactive windows along with that of your taskbar. Hot keys can be assigned to adjust window transparencies without opening the program's interface. It sits in your system tray at start-up, and you can determine whether it will show your machine's CPU usage or the Crystal XP logo, or if it will be hidden. It displays all open applications and you can add, import, or export programs this utility's settings shouldn't be applied to. Though it could use some additional features or enhancements, this free application does perform its minimal functions properly.Publisher's description

Pros: does exactly what it says it does

Pros: This is important to know before installing this software. This should only be used by experienced users. There are some flaws with it. It may screw up your pc if you don't do it correctly. This software does work properly except the first time used. When I turned it on it worked nice until i moved the recycle bin from the lower corner b/c the start menu was transparent. I moved it once and it copied itself over and over again every time I moved it. To fix this deactivate it and change you wallpaper a couple of times. This should fix it. Then the moment you change it back you should soon realize that it puts a black box around your icons. To fix this do the above step and then turn it off and put your icons so they don't show on your desktop, only on task bar. Then turn it on again, also wright down the hot keys for easy transparency management.
Cons: Hard to use, must know what your doing, can screw up your pc if you give it the chance.
