"The most Impressive Obfuscator I have seen!"
Version: Crypto Obfuscator For .Net 2011 R3
Pros
1. Powerful!, and with all the bells and whistles you can expect in a commercial Obfuscator.
2. Easy to use, and very solid!.
building my game with CO worked 100% on first try without hassle or errors.
3. The price is not to bad, especially not if you can make do with Standard edition(149$), there are much more expensive alternatives that give you far less bang for your buck.
4. Perhaps the most impressive support i have ever seen.
I submitted my Email during registration and the developers contacted me in advance to ask me if i was happy with the product and to ask if there was any problems while trying it out.
I had some miner questions and immediately got a helpful replay, it don't get much better than that.
5. It is worth mentioning, that among the company's that use this product are names like: Blizzard, Ubisoft, DELL, HP, McAfee, and many MANY more... quite an impressive list.
If its good enough for the BIG boys, it is good enough for an indie game developer like me.Cons
1. The only thing that made me a bit disappointed was that i am forced to buy the Enterprise edition(399$) to make CO support the XNA framework.
2. There is not much else to complain about, the interface is not to crash-hot and feel a bit out-dated, but on the other hand... it is functional and easy to use.
in the end, if you buy a security product... All you care about is that it gives you the best possible security, graphics is irrelevant as long as it don't hinders you in some way, and in this case it don't.Summary
I only did this review, because i feel the one-star review above was highly unfair.
I have only tested the trial version for a few days, but I was immediately impressed with how easy and powerful the product is.
It seems to have all you could ever want in a obfuscator, and everything compiles without any errors or problems, my current XNA game(the reason I'm trying this product) instantly worked without any problems.
And I have since then decided that i will try and save up to an Enterprise edition.
