• It is a wonderful tool to finally organize my media the right way.

  Pros

  Very easy to use right out of the box, but powerful enough to do so much. I knew in minutes that it was going to be so great to organize all my media and catagorize them so easy. I am excited about working on my over 1500 pictures.

• Innovative and fresh digital memory organizer!

  Pros

  The first thing that blew me away with Coolect was the 3D navigation thing - Nexus. I especially liked the ability to "jump" from picture to picture, to contact, to journal entry, to event, and see just how all my photos, videos and music and sounds are all related and connected. It really helped me keep track of those big events, such as my 21st birthday, high school gradution and holidays.

  It took me a while to get the hang of the Nexus, as it is quite complex and intimidating at the start.

  Pros

  Coolect is able to provide an "all in one" solution for the storage and display of all your digital media needs. I found that the program allowed for greater convenience when it came to searching for a particular file, which would otherwise be scattered around my hard drive in various folders. Coolect provides innovative and fresh software in conjunction with its user friendly format to create a program which takes the pain out of finding, sourcing and allocating the many media files which we so regularly use in this day and age.

  Cons

  None. The benefits of Coolect out weighed the non-existent hindrances!

  Pros

  I like the very cool 3D navigation display that shows connections between people in photos and envents. Can find any item by text search OR drag and drop associations. Album enables embedded video, audio photos and journal entries. Cool..

  Cons

  Not a standard windows interface so need to spend 10 minutes to listen to audio visual tutorials before you get it.

  Pros

  I have about 5000 photos and movies already, and it grows all the time. I had them all in folders and stuff, but even with picassa it was getting harder and harder to find a specific photo when I wanted it. I looked around at a few different packages to get them a bit sorted, but what made me choose Coolect is that by making a few connections between things, suddenly the whole 'web' of your life comes together! So suddenly you can find that photo of someone who's name you don't remember who was at some wedding (you don't remember when, but you know your friend danny was there too) - it's a snap when you have it all connected in Coolect! <p> <p>Here's a hint: I brought all my pictures (and then movies) in at once with the "search" button, which is marked as for advanced users, but it is not that hard. I left the option on to automatically create categories (their word for tags) from folder names - and all my folder organisation was kept, even the sub folders. I have been working on making coolect events that correspond to the categories that came from my folder names, and it seems really smart at figuring out what I want to name it and the dates - mostly I just do a search on the category, and select all and hit new event, and the defaults are exactly right. <p> <p>There are also journal entries that I have started using a bit (that can also be connected) and it imported my friends details from Outlook, so mostly it is really easy to connect to the people too. And I love how I can put pictures of their faces on - you have to try it! <p> <p>Try this program - it is the only one that really does bring meaning to your stuff, just like they say.

  Cons

  I did get an error report that the program itself made, but it didn't affect using the program, and they were very responsive when I emailed it to them.

• Cool interactive journal with photos and sound that can all go into an album!

  Pros

  It's really cool how I can connect pictures to my friends. I really like the way you can connect things to your journal. Like if I am writting about a day at the beach with my friends, I can connect the pictures and friends to that journal entry. Then I can put all that into an album and send it to my friends.

  Cons

  It takes a bit of getting used.
