This simple clipboard program captures files copied to the Windows Clipboard but doesn't offer an extensive feature set compared to others in the category. ClipX offers a simple right-click menu for accessing copied items and configuring the program, while a left-click displays recently copied items. Under Configuration, you can specify how many clips the program retains and whether it should ignore text or bitmap files. Default hot keys let you pull up the list of clips, search ClipX's simple manager for a specific clip, or launch an online search for an item, but it doesn't offer hot keys for individual clips or support drag and drop for easily inserting clips. The program doesn't retain text formatting but it does work with image files. You also can save a set of clips and reload them as needed. ClipX is fairly easy to use and it's offered free of charge, but it doesn't offer the clip-management features found in similar applications.Publisher's Description

"Not work on the basic"

It s an applicattion very old. We need a useful update of this. Very good idea, but have failures very basics. It not remembered the hot keys that you want when reboot windows (sometimes), and the plugin not working when you rebbot the computer sometimes. I need this plugin to uses a list of texts to paste sometimes. Very light software, but in basic things is off. I have to look for other thing

"An outstanding utility, but still not ready for Win7"

Crisp, unobtrusive performance. Easy access to clipboard when you need it -- otherwise, invisible.
Cons
Running under Windows 7, I find that ClipX often needs to be restarted. When I call up the clipboard display, sometimes it won't close, or leaves an empty white rectangle that remains until I reboot.
Summary
An excellent utility that needs to work better with Windows 7.

"Perfect and easy, but don't use it with Solidworks"

Very easy to use program. Does exactly what you expect of it.
Cons
After installing Clipx, Solidworks became instable. I've tried it on a 32 bit and a 64 bit workstation. On both systems Solidworks crashes after installing Clipx. After removing Clipx, Solidworks became stable again.

If you want to delete a clip, you have to right click and choose "mamage". You then get a window which lists your clips and alows you to delete them. The problem is that you cant see your clips - just a note that says Bitmap and a size!

Summary
I was looking for a program that could keep a list of common phrases I was using in Craiglist searches. This little program sits in the tool bar, simply click on the icon then select the phrase you want from the little screen that pops up and it updates the current phrase on the Clipboard. It's also very easy to remove unwanted phrases from the Clipboard memory right from the toolbar icon. A+++

Simple and very efficient for multi paste, without too many complications. Version 1.0.3.9 beta from ClipX home page support Windows 7. After some configuration it become adequate replacement for the old CLCL which does not support Windows 7.

takes a few more keystrokes than some other programs- but suits me perfectly. No keystroke combinations to remember
