Publisher's Description
From Majic Jungle Software:
Chopper is an Action packed side-scrolling helicopter game. Complete your mission, and return to base, while avoiding enemy fire from tanks, bazooka wielding mad men, and jets. It was an entry in the uDevGame 2003 game development competition. Chopper 1.1 adds new levels and boasts a complete overhaul of graphics and sound, amongst many other improvements.
What's new in this version: adds a new preference to skip the caves level. It's not the best solution, and I hope I don't have to do anything like this again. But hopefully those of you who have been stuck on this level can now enjoy more of the game.

"Better than on my Commodore 64 in the penultimate decade of the 20th Century."
Version: Chopper 1.1.1
Pros
This really was one of the best of the best games for Commodore 64 in the '80s. This was a big deal because it had sound and weapons. However way back then the graphics were much cruder. Thank you to the folks who made this revival.
Cons
It is good for what it is good for, which is a nostalgia trip back to the 1980s.

"Excellent How about a Submarine game?"

Chopper is great. I love it, and I paid for it.
How about creating a submarine based game when you get the time? Would anyone else like such a game? -
"Absolutely addictive"

I don't play games - but I played Chopper right through to the end, at least on the "Normal" level. It took me a very, very long time, over several months. The graphic effects and the sound are all cool.
I can't wait for a sequel.
Who can quibble with the price? -

"Armor Alley"
Version: Chopper 1.0.3
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This game reminds me of Armor Alley. I don't know whether Choplifter or Armor Alley came first, though. I like Armor Alley's use of the mouse to control the chopper more. I would like to see this game give us the option. Also, not being able to configure the buttons as well. I don't like the reverse position button so close to the weapons. It's too easy to press the wrong one during the heat of the battle. Gameplay wise, this game is fun and the graphics are nice. -

Great job. I look forward to an enhanced version which lets you play more than the current 15 levels. -

"Great"

I love it. Incredible addicting. Previous poster completely right: Say play for 10 minutes more and then I discover I've just played for 1 1/2 hours straight.
I turn off the game soundtrack and turn up iTunes, leaving the sound effects on. Games sound effects are made just right so it doesn't make the music sound bad. :)
