Cheap/inexpensive, bells 'n whistles. Designer seemed entertained while bringing project to fruition.
Confusing interface for a novice to this product, limited access to suppport. I used Dixons' Win98 ver. for years and truly liked it. & He communicated, even answered the phone - faily often.
I have 30+ years in PC's & software, began history with Rhetorix Voice Recoginition in the early '90's. W/Call Audit: I found Trouble with drivers; dumps on every exit; Dixon refers modem support to Mfgr when software purchased as a package; was "harsh" when asked simple questions about the software and this equates to limited-to-zero support... did I say "Zero support" ? With v.6 he seems grumpy, tired of his product/project.
Functional, w/interesting X10 capability. Software has poor "Program Flow" for users needs. Overall: good for PCMotor-heads, poor for the novice. Functional-when-functional, inexpensive. What would one expect for $49 these days. 1,000 units sold = 1-home in Montana = project "END". Appearance: company has a pretty good programmer with no intentions of creating/becomming a real organization. Summation: $50 is $50; caveat emptor.

Potential to record and store large volumes of data
Software is non-functional with multiple CID line. Hangs up on callers. Repeatedly dumps system. Repeated promises by Mr. Dixon to address these issues have fallen by the wayside. Revenue over Support. Repeated request from service or credit remain ignored for months!

CallAudit has a number of options to allow the user to tailor the user interface. Toolbars, colors, style, and other characteristics can be set by the user.
CallAudit is installed via InstallShield and also includes an uninstaller. This can be accessed via the Add/Remove Programs from the Windows Control Panel.
This is a very comprehensive answering machine program. I have used it at home for several years. I can personalize greetings, block calls, send and receive faxes, it automatically enters numbers of received calls into a phonebook, and I can set the progam to call my cell and play my phone messages to me! It has many more features. Download with confidence!
