The only way Calendarscope could fail to make you more efficient is if you got too caught up customizing it. This scheduling application lives in your system tray and allows you to create your own types of events and categories, modify print setups, and select sets of holidays. Print layouts offer day, multiday, week, month, year, table, detail, and memo calendar views. You can print task lists as a summary table or as a memo, which shows all the details you entered. Calendarscope supports the iCalendar standard, and you can synchronize data with Palm or PocketPC devices. You can import comma- or tab-separated files, plus holiday files. The program comes with holiday files from 34 countries, plus Jewish and Christian holidays. Double-clicking a calendar entry or a task from any view allows you to modify any of the item's properties, including notification sounds, recurrence, day, and time. Despite the boring interface, we found it easy and fun to organize our schedules with all the available options. The only thing missing is a contacts list to match with appointments. Calendarscope provides enough capability for many professional users, but even home users will find it helpful.

Version 4.2 has added the ability to search in the location field only (Search Item List) and fixed minor bugs.
