The CMI8738 driver package is a driver for PCI cards based on the CMI8378 chipset. This driver is for Windows 2000 only, and requires a computer with a CMI8738-based audio card. C-Media does not provide end user support for drivers, so please contact your hardware manufacturer if you need further support.

"Excellent product. MS Windows Update also provides this."

Pros: Seems to provide excellent performance on my sound system. Thanks for this product.

Cons: On my AMD Athlon machine, which is a couple years old, every time I have to re-install Win2k I have to get this from MS Windows Update. It would help if clear instructions were given as to where to install this when I run the executable.
