Upload video and pictures to the Internet in minutes, not hours, with Buzz 3D Media Converter, the easiest Video and Photo Compression System there is. The simple Wizard makes it a snap to convert high quality video files, or mega-pixel digital photographs, into something that still looks great, but is a fraction of its former size.
Choose from a range of input-filetypes : AVI, MPG, MPEG, WMV, TS (for Video), and BMP, DDS, DIB, HDR, JPG, JPEG, PFM, PNG, PPM, TGA (for photos). Video files are compressed using the popular Windows Media Video 9 file format to TV-resolution (720x576) in order to preserve as much detail as possible. Digital Photographs can be processed to JPG or PNG output formats, and you can set a maximum image size anything larger than this is scaled down using a high quality scaling technique to preserve best detail.

Version: Buzz 3D Media Converter 1.01
"I couldn't believe how easy this was to use!"
Pros: I liked the fact that it lets me process my home MPEGS from my camcorder so quickly, and so easily, into something I can email to my friends, or archive at home. In just a few steps the wizard took me through all the options, and that was it! I'd compressed my original MPEG file from over 100Mb down to about 5Mb, and suddenly I can email my home movies to all my friends! It's great for non-techies who just want to process video or photos as quickly and easily as possible.

Pros: Couldn't be easier to use, and large video files are reduced in size significantly. Of course this results in a quality reduction, but that is to be expected with a reduction in file size. Makes it easy to convert digital movies to a size more appropriate for posting on websites, etc.
Cons: The only thing I would like to see is more control over how much the size is reduced. Basically, you get 3 settings to choose from, and if you're willing to take a bigger reduction in quality for smaller size, this just isn't an option. But this is a small item compared to the ease and usefulness of the free program!

Pros: Easily converts files from a dds to a jpeg, and extremely easy to use, so a beginner could pick it up and be able to use it right away
Cons: Didn't preserve the file name-
I was rather disappointed when I saw that they named my file to a bunch of random numbers, but nonetheless it works.

"good for everyday scaling down of JPG file"
Pros: I use Buzz3D almost every time I use my camera. In a few clicks, the list, usually about 20 photos that are each 1 meg JPG files get converted to 800x600 resulting in about 100k per file, right sized for the web, craigslist, ebay etc.
Cons: Have not found any problems
