"Won't authorize"
Version: Buyertools Reminder 1.8.1.0
Pros
Keeps your auction items in a handy spot onscreen for you to watch, alarm function works
Cons
Auto-bid, and import features will not work. Supposed to authorize BTR on Ebay, I have many times, and it even shows up as authorized in my account preferences, but BTR will not recognize that it is authorized, and will not bid.
Summary
Sniping doesn't work, which is all I care about. Pretty much a waste of HD space.

"it requires authorization to software to log in account"
Version: Buyertools Reminder 1.8.1.0
Pros
none nothing
Cons
After allowing the software log into my ebay account it is supposed to retrieve all my ebay activity and it showed it did, but I saw nothing!!.
Summary
They obtained my ebay user id and password. Scary thought!

"Works maybe 50% of the time."
Version: Buyertools Reminder 1.8.1.0
Pros
It's free. Doesn't cost anything. The price is right.
Cons
Spend time looking for just the right item on ebay, set it up for snipe, walk away from computer, come back only to see the auction ended and item sold for way less than you would have paid becuase the program errored out.
Summary
This program would be fantastic if it worked. I emailed the company from their website for assistance and received NO reply. I have actually sat in front of the computer, watched the program try and bid and then fail ... numerous times. I hate sniping through 3rd party websites and wish there was a good a program that would just work from my PC and bid on ebay just as if I did it myself. This is not the program. (Though I wish it was)

"Great for standard eBay items"
Version: Buyertools Reminder 1.8.1.0
Pros
Good interface, works well.
Cons
Not as intuitive as it could be.
Summary
Buyertools worked well for me with a regular eBay item, saving me time and money. I'm not usre if they updated the program yet, but it used to not work at all on eBay Autos, where al lot auto-related items are listed.
eBay Motors is the correct marketplace for which Buyertools apparently still does not work.
