Publisher's description of BroadWave Streaming Audio Server
BroadWave is an audio streaming server. It is designed to broadcast any audio connected to the sound input on the PC and recordings that are loaded as WAV, MP3, WMA, AIFF and many other formats.
BroadWave handles the audio stream compression, player format negotiation, bandwidth adjustment and serving over the Internet. Listeners do not need to install any special software to listen to a BroadWave webcast. Streams will play directly from the default web browser on any modern Windows, Mac or Linux computer.
Up to 8 different live streams can be served from the single PC by installing additional sound devices (eg. USB sound) and can be recorded and saved as a wav file by the broadcaster. An unlimited number of 'static' recordings can be served and can be streamed as a playlist. BroadWave displays the number of users connected to your streams while a super efficient, optimized server design means that, with bandwidth, up to 500 simultaneous connections can be served.
Version 1.02 displays number of listeners connected.

Version: BroadWave Streaming Audio Server 1.02
Pros: Stream live, easy to use, new-broadcaster friendly, No ads played live, set up a playlist of any music files
Cons: have to pick between pre-recorded or live, sometimes scratchy, not much features, have to purchase support, banner ad in Win. Media player
Summary: It was easy to use, but eventually I got tired of it... it will make you want to pay about 300$ for SAM Broadcaster ; )
But nice feature for first-time broadcasters that don't want to pay to broadcast! - See 1 user review Write review
