In Blob Wars : Metal Blob Solid, you take on the role of a fearless Blob agent, Bob. Bob's mission is to infiltrate the various enemy bases around the Blobs' homeworld and rescue as many MIAs as possible. But standing in his way are many vicious aliens, other Blobs who have been assimilated and the evil alien leader, Galdov.

The control is good, the graphics and sound are decent, the story is good enough (c'mon, backstory in these games isn't terribly important), and it's an overall decent retro-ish game.
I ended up spending most of my time off from work beating the game. The only thing I'm disappointed with now is that it's done. :(
The Arctic Wastes level was horribly slow on my 400MhZ TiBook. Otherwise? Works quite well.
nice game

a bit disappointing..

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />very first impression, when you try it, is the feeling it's well coded, optimized, snappy, .... but after 2 minutes of gameplay, it's getting boring and boring .. not only because it has a "deja vu" look, but also with the very few possibilities you have in the gameplay: besides jumping, it ain't much to do. But since it's a freeware and it works, I recommend it.
