Publisher's description of BladeEnc
From Petteri Kamppuri:BladeEnc is a freeware console application that encodes MP3 files from WAV or AIFF files. Although BladeEnc supports command-line parameters, standard 128-Kbps stereo MP3 files can also be generated via simple drag and drop. View the included bladeenc.html file for operation instructions. Version 1.3 fixes a bug that was occuring with spaces in path or file names.

"Command line dream converter"
Summary: No frills, just works perfectly! Might not be appropriate for macheads or win-only users, for regular comp types, it's a config file setup, then drag and drop and off you go!

It doesn't take up much memory and it converts AIF files straight to MP3
