CNET Editors' review
Taking a slightly different approach to solving the multimedia lover's dilemma of how best to download torrents is BitComet, which uses an interface heavily cribbed from Windows Explorer--with a dose or two from the basic BitTorrent template--to create something instantly recognizable to the user.
There's a familiar tree of features on the left, including links to torrent-aggregating Web sites and several promotional offers. The top of the app has big buttons with familiar icons, the center window shows the files being downloaded, and the bottom pane has tracker and peer info. The pane on the right rounds out the layout, with a torrent search feature and advertising. Among the usual features, BitComet offers chat capabilities, the ability to bookmark your favorite sites, a toolbar for Internet Explorer 7, and a context menu for Firefox 2.
While the app held its own against better-known competitors in terms of speed and handling multiple torrents, we found the ubiquitous advertisements to be annoying compared to the competition's ad-free environs. Overall, we think BitComet is worth trying and could become a major torrent app in the future.

"Loosing Its Touch..."
Version: BitComet 1.31
Pros
Good download uplink performance like uTorrent software and even BitTorrent.
Cons
Worst negative connection feedback when using this software, slow your entire internet connection down.
Sometimes came to a complete stop when using BitTorrent downloading some large software, also from time to time it is even worse, you cannot go online at all, may people experiance this type of issue, no matter how you adjust the setting, result is the same...Summary
Let go of BitComet, go hug the new and improved uTorrent.
Check the rating and the total downloads from last week statistic, you will see more and more people moving from bitComet to uTorrent... -
"Simply Awesome"
Version: BitComet 1.31
Pros
The Long Term Seeding is a great feature for BitComet plus with the leveling system and VIP is quite cool. The more you level up by signing up and uploading, the more the speed of your download goes up ^_^ it's very cool. Unlike utorrent, you have to go to files then untick those unneeded files, but with bitComet before you download, you can choose your files you want to download ^_^ awesome
Cons
Well the interface is not awesome >.> It will be awesome if it's an eye candy
Summary
Make more improvement in the interface also ^_^

Setting up the listen port is annoying, and the server is down often.

Good unless you update. I'm happy with version 1.28.

"BITCOME's got a colorful reputation"
Version: BitComet 1.30
Pros
It downloads torrents
Cons
It hurts the torrent being downloaded. Is considered bad by the torrenting community, and is constantly banned and kicked by seeders.
Summary
The program is nice but it has 1 major downfall. When it downloads, it shows it's progress at 0% to all other users, then it try's to grab vital chunks of the torrent, then disconnects, reconnects, and shows 0% again. So it's priority is always higher up. then when they finish, they usually don't seed which in return harms the torrent because no one can get the vital chunks. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. people will kick and ban your ip from downloading from them. Stick with utorrent.

"Selling out... bad Bitcomet"
Version: BitComet 1.27
Pros
Easy to use, nice interface, good community
Cons
adverts, intrusions, bandwidth hogging and stalling.
Summary
I used BitComet for years. Slowly bit by bit the advertising and site referrals became more important than the function of the program itself. Every update seemed to be new marketing functions. I gave in, went to uTorrent. Much more stable, seems faster, but is definately a cleaner client. You messed up BitComet, ruined a great program.

"A good torrent software"
Version: BitComet 1.27
Pros
It's faster than any other torrent software. It's upload rate is lower than any other.
Cons
But what draws it back is sometimes it keeps downloading (!!!) even after 100%. That is a thing you need to worry about.
Summary
But in the end it is a nice software
